We are well!!

This is a suprise post - Jumbo and I came to town to get supplies and he graciously stopped by the office. We did make the hospital visit yesterday. That was difficult but a really awesome opportunity to share the love of Jesus with some hurting souls. The supplies you all gave to us will be distributed tomorrow. We are so excited to give these children socks, shoes, underwear, hats and some clothes! Thank you all so much for your prayers and support! Please pray specifically for Kriek and Jumbo as well as for their staff and associates. They are in the trenches and, trust me, their work is really, really tough. Please pray for our team to keep it together tomorrow - this will be the last day to spend with the children. That will be difficult. But we have Friday to look forward to - Cassie and Allison will be Baptised!!! Praise God and we will speak again soon! We love all of you!

What a treat it was to check the website and find this post!!! I can only imagine how difficult yesterday was, and yet how great it must have been for you to share Jesus with them. He knew what it was to hunger and thirst, to face the suffering of physical discomfort, the loneliness of being forsaken by His friends, and even the agony of facing death alone. We often ask "why" and I don't know of all of the answers. I do know that He broke the power of death and rose from the grave that He might live in our hearts. These people's suffering may be so that they will experience the sustaining presence of God that they would otherwise have never known. And all because people like you all have left your comfort zone and obeyed the call. I will specifically pray for your strength tomorrow as you spend your last day at the carepoint. But know that as you have to say goodbye, Jesus will NEVER leave them. I will also pray for Kriek, Jumbo, and their staff. And...how awesome it is for Cassie and Allison to be baptized over there where they have probably felt closer to Jesus than ever before! I love all of you so much and know that this mission has had a major impact on my life as well! I am so looking forward to seeing all of your sweet faces on Monday!

Loving you and praying for you,
Ashley

The difference you have made while there will have lasting effects.I know that while you are leaving, the relationship with Kreik and Jumbo is only beginning. The work they do is vital, and the support we give them will also be vital. You have touched lives in the name of Jesus Christ! It has been a blessing to be able to keep in touch with ya'll while you've been gone. I am amazed at your strength! We are so proud of you. I can't imagine how difficult the hospital visit must have been. Take care of yourselves and each other. We love you and are anxiously awaiting your arrival back home.

"So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:11

You have answered God's call to go into all the world and share His good news and have spent this week sharing the love of Christ. Rest in the fact that God will accomplish His perfect plan with your efforts! I know that leaving those precious children will be difficult! Know that you have done well, much more than most do in their entire lifetime! We continue to persevere in prayer for you! Love to all! Amy

Julie - All is well here! The kids & Del are doing great! Aaron & Rachel came w/ Mimi & Papa to Family Night at VBS at our church last night (Wed.). Great to spend time w/ them. We all miss you, but are thrilled about what you're experiencing and accomplishing for our Lord! We pray often and can feel the power of the Lord and know that He's protecting you and the team and, more importantly, changing hearts for Him. There will be lots of tears as you have to say good bye to the precious children. I vividly recall my mission trip last summer - we all cried so hard and I felt like my heart was being ripped from my chest w/ the children's tears as we clung to them until we had to get on the bus and leave! However, the peace and joy in knowing these children had been so loved on and their physical & spiritual needs had been met was comforting. Also, feeling the Lord's assurance and knowing His promises, keeps the joy in my heart. You all are serving the Lord in a powerful way by loving and ministering to the Swazi children. No doubt, your good bye tears will be filled with peace and joy too!
All our love,
Kelly, Mike & Melissa

I can't even begin to imagine how difficult it was for each of you to say your farewells to the children. Know that your time with the children made a difference in their lives. The love and attention that you freely gave to these children will be cherished daily by them. Likewise, each of you will now have a special place in your hearts for all of the children. Each of you will return home as a "changed" person. I look forward to hearing your stories and sharing with you about your journey. Be safe and I look forward to your return home.

Love and miss you!
Kim

O give thanks unto the Lord for HE is good, and He is worthy to be praised.Remember that God's power and strength never diminishes, and He is never too busy or too tired to help His children, and He is always there for YOU. You can count on God for added strength, just remind yourself that you can do all things to Christ who strengthen you.> PHILLIPIANS 4:13
As you journey back home, remember that you have given JOY and Hope to a lot of people and their life will be forever changed for the best because of GOD SENT PEOPLE LIKE YOU ALL.
HAVE A WONDERFUL EVENING AND KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN MY PRAYERS !

As you are growing close to the end of your African journey, I pray peace over you... peace that is only obtainable through trusting completely in the Lord. He is the Peace that passath all understanding! Proclaim it! I am sure that you ALL have experienced an emotional overload the last few days... As you said goodbye to those precious children, Jesus was standing right there with them. HE WILL NEVER LEAVE THEM. You have ALL been a vessel used by the Lord to provide "physical" Godly touch to these little ones. When you washed the feet of these little ones, you made an impact on their lives! Thanks for your commitment to share your heart...share your Jesus with these people. Cassie and Allison, I can't wait to hear about your baptism experience. I can only imagine the feeling when you rose out of the water... I pray safe travels for your remaining journey through Africa and then all the way back to ALABAMA (and FLORIDA). GO TEAM! We will not be at the church upon your return; however, you will be in our thoughts... See you soon!
